Strengthening Our Community Together
At Berry College, we believe strong partnerships build strong communities. We’re committed to working with – not unto – our neighbors to cultivate shared impact and mutual growth. Our students, staff and faculty are eager to contribute in meaningful ways, bringing time, talent and energy to support the great work already happening across Rome and Floyd County.
Why Partner with Us?
When you partner with Berry, you gain more than volunteers or interns. You gain a team of collaborators committed to long-term relationship-building and community well-being. We value your expertise and insight, and we work to ensure that every engagement is thoughtful, reciprocal and responsive to real needs.
Ways to Partner
Service Projects
Invite students, staff or faculty to join short- or long-term initiatives aligned with your organization’s goals through Berry Impact, our hub for student volunteering.
Community-Engaged Jobs & Internships
Host Berry students in paid LifeWorks positions or internships that advance your mission while providing meaningful experience and skill development.
Academic Collaborations
Partner with faculty and students in Academic Community Engagement (ACE) courses that integrate community-based work into academic learning.
Sustained Engagement Opportunities
Connect with students through the Bonner Scholars Program or Year of Service, which support deeper, long-term collaboration and leadership development.
Workshops & Events
Book a Good Neighbor Workshop led by our team or collaborate on community conversations, guest speaker events, or educational programs aligned with shared areas of impact.
Use of the Good Neighbor Center
Community partners may request to use the Good Neighbor Center for mission-aligned events, meetings or trainings. Space is available as part of our commitment to shared learning and access.
Shared Focus Areas
Our Good Neighbor Culture guides us in addressing needs across these nine areas:
- Environmental Conservation and Sustainability
- Health and Medical Support
- Housing and Shelter Support
- Advocacy and Social Impact
